T.G.P. #3 - It Must Be Love & a Giveaway!

It Must Be Love
Author: Rachel Gibson
Published: March 28, 2000
Publisher: Avon Books

Purchase Links: Amazon - Barnes & Noble

Undercover cop Joe Shanahan's bad luck hit bottom the morning he stared up into the face of sexy suspect Gabrielle Breedlove. She'd blown his cover---brought him down with a can of hairspray---and now his new assignment was to pose as her boyfriend. But spending as much time as possible with the utterly irresistible New Age beauty caused unexpected complications. To make matters worse, his matchmaking sisters are picking out china patterns.

Joe's brooding good looks and T-shirt-straining muscles might be easy on the eyes, but how could Gabrielle be attracted to a straight-laced detective who's determined to find evidence to arrest her? Still, he invades her dreams and when they share a transcendent lovemaking experience, Gabrielle knows it must be love.

I'm pretty sure that It Must Be Love was my first Rachel Gibson book. It is one that I have re-read many times over the years. And I also think it is her most iconic cover. The cover definitely matches the book in quirkiness. I loved this book 10+ years ago and I loved it just as much this time around. One thing I didn't catch the first time was the different layers that make up Gabrielle Breedlove. First, I love that name. Second, she's a strong woman that took down an undercover cop with hairspray. No pepper spray for this girl! She's also climbing down balconies. Third, she's kooky. Gabrielle is someone I'd want to know in real life. Now Joe's not so bad himself. He's hot. He's sweet. And he falls hard for her. What's not to love? It Must Be Love is an adorable story. I laughed through a lot of it. Especially the scene where Joe finds some very...ahem...detailed paintings of him. Gabrielle had a lot of inspiration! Its a book that I devoured in a couple hours because I did not want to put it down. I'm about to say it again... Its a fun book to read when you need to laugh or giggle. Or when you just want to immerse yourself into the crazy world of Gabrielle Breedlove.

I'm finally ready to announce the first of two (possibly three) giveaways. Before I go on, I must send a huge thank you to Avon Romance for sending me these two books to giveaway to ONE lucky winner.

One lucky winner will get copies of the 1st two books in Rachel's Chinooks series, Simply Irresistible and See Jane Score. I am so jealous because you'll get the gorgeous new cover of Simply Irresistible. I seriously need to get this one. You will also win a very pretty pink Hope reusable bag that I think will make the perfect book bag. Proceeds from the bag went to support Breast Cancer awareness.

This giveaway is only opened to US residents. I hope to have an International giveaway towards the end of The Gibson Project. If you wish to enter the giveaway, check out the Rafflecopter below. The giveaway will be open until Saturday, October 5th and the winner will be announced in T.G.P. post for See Jane Score on 10/7/2013. The winner will have 48 hours to contact me with their information. If I don't hear from them, I will pick another person. Good luck!

I really hope this works...

  3. Love Rachel Gibson's stories. My biggest reason for my reading habit is relaxation and to "get away from it all." I even sleep better at night for having read some fun romance from Rachel or her contemporaries. I'm surprised I don't have the two Gibson books you are offering...but I'm perfectly willing to let them fall into my hands! :-) jdh2690@gmail.com
