Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break—working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and—just maybe—explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.
Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.
Josh and Riley’s friendship heats up. Every steamy kiss and every erotic caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley’s mentor accuses her of stealing the design.
Facing indisputable proof and the mistrust of her lover, Riley is not sure she can take the heat of life in the fast lane of the fashion industry—and Josh is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the career he adores.
Just when I thought I had met my favorite Braden, I read another Melissa Foster book and meet another Braden brother. I am in love with this series. The books are both romantic and fun. The characters are perfect. They are people I wish I knew in real life. We meet both Riley and Josh in previous books. They loved each other from afar for many years and once the Johnson-Braden feud was no-longer, Riley and Josh are finally able to act on their attraction. Oh, are they ever attracted. At first they decide to keep their sizzling relationship a secret and, of course, it doesn't take long for that to lead to trouble.
Much like the previous books in this series, Friendship on Fire is amazingly written. I love a book with good banter between characters and this book has it coming from all corners. The banter rocked between the brothers, between friends, and between Riley and Josh. I loved it all! Just like the previous books, Friendship on Fire is about two strong characters falling in love. It is about a man and a woman that'll fight for their relationship. Absolutely perfect. Friendship on Fire was the first book (in a long time) that had me in such rapture that I devoured it in one day. I'd have to say that this one is my favorite book in the series so far. And...there are still three more books. Happy reading!! :o)
"What sets Melissa Foster apart are her compelling characters who you care about... desperately. This is psychological suspense at its most chilling. I dare you to read the first chapter and not be hooked." International bestseller, M.J. Rose

ReplyDeleteWow! You read it in one day! I'm so happy you're loving the Braden's and that you enjoyed this book as much as the others. Thank you for your awesome review!! XO
ReplyDeleteYes, and its been awhile since I've pulled off that feat. I started it way too early Sunday morning (around midnight) and spent football Sunday reading while listening to both games. Then we lost power for about a hour Sunday night. Thankfully my Kindle was fully charged and I just spent that hour reading. Ah, the wonders of the Kindle Fire. Full hour of no wifi = uninterrupted reading. Then finally finishing the book a little after midnight. So, technically it was a day and a hour. :D
DeleteWow, that was a long winded explanation. :D
