I’d do anything to keep my mother alive.

Anything, including ask Ian Kerr for help. I don’t know much about him, except that he has more money than some small countries. And he’s willing to spend it on me. Just one catch: there’s a string attached, and not just the one I feel pulling me into his arms and his bed. There’s also the plan for revenge he wants my help with.

Every time he says my name, it makes my body shiver and my heart stutter. I know he’s going to wreck me, know there won’t be anything left of me but lust and sensation by the time he’s done with me, but even though I can see the heartbreak coming towards me like a train, ready to crash into me, I can’t get out of the way. I want what he makes me feel. Want what he’s offering.

This may have started out as something to save my mother, but now…now it’s about what he makes me feel. I’m in danger of losing everything that’s important. Worse? Ian's whispered words and hot caresses are making me believe that's okay.

Confession time... I had the biggest craving for a dominate, controlling, no holds barred type of romance. I fought it for maybe two or three months because I knew that once I gave in to this craving, I would gorge myself on any and all books I could get my hands on that had this type of romance. One day in May, this little beauty popped into my email inbox and I was gone! Stick a fork in me, I was done. I'm pretty sure I downloaded the second I got the ARC (I originally signed up for the blitz) and finished it very early the next morning. Holy Mother of Pearl, I LOVED this book!

Tiny would do anything to keep her mother alive. She's desperate. They live in a small, run down apartment with no elevator. When her mom is too weak to climb the stairs, Tiny carries her. She puts all of her mother's needs above her own. Tiny runs herself ragged while working two incredibly dangerous jobs to pay for her mother's cancer treatment, but its not enough. She'll do anything and that includes a sketchy job involving Ian Kerr. From the first glance, both are pulled to each other. Ian wants revenge, but he can't bring himself to use Tiny. He wants her for himself and he's determined to win.

I freaking loved everything about this book. I wanted a controlling and dominate romance. Losing Control fits that description to a tee. Both Tiny and Ian have had shitty luck growing up and they've to acquire street knowledge to survive. I adored Tiny. She's in incredibly strong woman that will work herself to the bone to help her mom. She carries all the burden on her shoulders and not once does she bitch about it. She's so used to this that she immediately puts up her guard when she meets Ian. She refuses to let him take care of her because she's not used to anyone doing so. Ian... What can I say about him other than hot damn, he rocks? He's intelligent, sexy, controlling, dominate. He knows what he wants and he will not take no for an answer. He wants Tiny and he'll use any ploy to get her. I loved how they change each other throughout the book. Ian slowly gets Tiny to loosen up and let someone else take the burden from her. Tiny's love allows Ian to open his heart and find happiness. They rocked each other's words...

Not only was Losing Control sizzling hot, but the emotions that this book evoked... Holy cow. I was in hotness heaven when Ian and Tiny first met. I swooned when he woo'd her with the smallest gestures. I laughed when he only sent her half the lingerie. And I cried at the incredibly sad moment at the end of the book. I knew it was coming, but it still broke my heart. I loved this book and September cannot come fast enough. I must read the next book!

I participated in the book blitz for Losing Control back in May. If you'd like to see that post, click HERE. The post includes teaser images and one sexy excerpt.
