Grant Osprey just had the hottest sex of his life. Sure, they were both in costume, and yes, it was anonymous, but he never expected her to bolt in the middle of the night without so much as a good bye, let alone exchanging numbers. Or names. All he’s left with are her panties and some seriously X-rated memories...until he meets his business partner's little sister.

Only Chloe Talley isn't the bold, sexy vixen he remembers. And she wants nothing to do with him.

Cosplay is Chloe’s only chance to leave her boring, socially awkward world behind. To forget that she’s failing at life and can’t be with anyone, let alone a single-father like Grant. But the raw hunger between them is undeniable. With him, she can be a misbehaving maid. A sexy call girl for hire. Each scene pushes Chloe beyond her strict boundaries, until Grant demands the one character she can't play.

Megan Erickson's Playing for Her Heart gives the reader a sexier side to cosplay. The second book in the Gamers series left me in such a frazzled state, I'm using my go-to bullet point style review. Enjoy! ;o)

Characters - I loved Megan's characters. Chloe and Grant were perfection personified. Chloe's insecurities made me want to hug her. She loves her family so much, but not being able to mourn sister's death and the growing rift between her brother and her parents are breaking her heart. I loved that it was Grant that gently removed Chloe's shell by showing her love and acceptance. Grant was amazing. He keeps putting himself down, but he's a man that I think everyone book heroine would love to call their own. I just adored him. Together, they were fantastic. Sigh...

Romance/Sexy Time - This was by far my favorite aspect of the book. The loved the mixture of sweet and tender with rough and sexy. The role playing was sizzling hot and the sweet moments made me swoon.

Plot - Best friend's sister for the win! One of my favorite tropes in romance and Megan rocked it. I loved the pacing of the book. I felt that the characters had enough time to explore the attraction between them after their initial meeting. I would have loved a couple more chapters just so I could spend more time with Grant and Chloe. My fingers are crossed that Ethan's book is next so I can watch them grow as a couple in the background.

I loved Playing for Her Heart so much that I'm kicking myself for not reading the first book in Megan's Gamer series. Ah well, that will be corrected very soon!

Megan worked as a journalist covering real-life dramas before she decided she liked writing her own endings better and switched to fiction.

She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kids and two cats. When she's not tapping away on her laptop, she's probably listening to the characters in her head who won't stop talking.
