Family law attorney Gabriella Liakos has one true love, Elpitha Island, where she grew up and hopes someday to return. But Elpitha is in financial ruins, and Gabriella will do anything to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.

Duke Ryder is a savvy real estate investor set on making Elpitha into an exclusive resort. Unlike other investors, he's not scared of purchasing a property where one family has roots so deep they practically reach the ocean floor...until he meets his beautiful, stubborn, and enticing tour host―the daughter of the owner of most of the island.

Gabriella sets out to dissuade Duke from purchasing Elpitha, but Duke has other ideas. He wants Gabriella and the island. Duke's powerful seduction draws Gabriella in, but can a savvy investor who's used to glamour and glitz, and a woman interested in preserving the culture she adores find a happily ever after together?

If there was one thing that I've learned from the many Melissa Foster books I've read is that I can't resist them. Like a romance reader meeting a cover model, set one in front of me and you won't see me for at least a day. Seriously... I'm afraid to see just how many I've read over the past couple of years. This leads to the word I've picked for Melissa's most recent book from her Ryders series, Claimed by Love. It was simply irresistible. Good news... Duke and Gabriella are unable to resist each other either! From the moment they met, there was something that pulled them together. As much as Duke tried to resist Gabriella while the fate of Elpitha Island is up in the air, he just couldn't. He needed her in his arms as much as he needed his next breath. And once she's there, Duke sure as hell isn't about to let her go. Gabriella, or Gabby as her new friends call her, is torn between her ancestral roots and Duke. She knows that he has the power to demolish her beloved little island, but the attraction is too strong for her. I loved Duke and Gabby. They awoke emotions that were buried down deep. Together they allowed each other to want things they thought were out of reach. They opened doors and welcomed new beginnings. I loved how welcoming their families were, especially Gabby's. A weaker man would have ran for the hills, but Duke lovingly embraced them and their constant match-making. It is no secret that I adore Melissa's writing. Claimed by Love was a wonderful new addition to the Love in Bloom family.
