Fall in love with Sam Braden in the Bradens of Peaceful Harbor. Hot, sexy, & wickedly naughty second cousins to the Weston, Colorado Bradens we know and love.

River rafting and adventure company owner Sam Braden works hard and plays harder. He’s fast, focused, and determined—and never at a loss for a willing woman to share his time with. The trouble is, the only woman he wants refuses him at every turn.

Physician assistant Faith Hayes escaped her painful past and built a safe, happy life in Peaceful Harbor. She’s also put what she’s learned to good use helping others by founding Women Against Cheaters, an online support group. When her boss’s sinfully sexy brother sets his sights on sweet Faith, she knows the self-professed player is everything she shouldn’t want, and she’s determined to resist him.

Sam pulls out all the stops, proving to Faith that his past doesn’t have to define his future. As she lets down her guard and begins to trust Sam, intense conversations turn to intimate pleasures. But when real life steps in and their pasts collide, it’s Faith who’s left with something to prove.

Right before starting River of Love, I was teetering on the edge of a reading slump where I would try different books, but nothing would hold my attention. Because of this, it took me longer than normal to settle in with Sam and Faith. I can usually slide right into one of her books with no problem, but with the looming slump, this time it took a bit longer. It was my trust in Melissa's writing and characters that reassured me that it'll eventually click and it'll be smooth sailing from there. And, of course, once I got past the hurdle, I devoured the book like I always do. While I was reading River of Love it didn't take me long to pick the word trust as the word I felt best described the book. Trust is a reoccurring theme in many of Melissa's books, but it stood out more in River of Love. Trust in yourself... Trust in others... And trust in the ability to love... Woven throughout the book, these themes created an emotional romance between Sam and Faith, both wounded characters that have a difficult time believing in the power of love. For Sam, his transition comes much easier. A true Braden through and through... Once he decides to take that leap, he's in it for the long haul. Faith is a bit more hesitant. In her heart of hearts, she knows what Sam is capable of, but she's more afraid of allowing herself to be vulnerable and having her heart stomped on. Watching these two characters move towards each other as they learn to trust again was marvelous. If it wasn't so early in the morning, I might have shouted "Go for it, girl!" more than once. Like always, I was left with a smile on my face and a heart full of love for another Melissa Foster couple. I even spotted two potential new matches... Hint, hint Melissa... *wink*
