Crystal Blogs Books Turns 4!

When I first started this blog in 2012, I had no idea of all the opportunities it would bring. The authors I've met along the way... The publishers and publicists I had the pleasure of working with... And of course my followers. All of these experiences have meant the world to me and have helped me grow as a reader, blogger, and, most importantly, as a person. Like I said in my July Rewind post... With celebration comes a time of reflection and I find myself wanting to make a few changes.

The biggest change was that I decided to buy my domain. I toyed with the idea of buying the domain for about a year and only recently did I start to get serious about it. After driving some of my friends insane with my constant questions, I took the plunge and became www.CrystalBlogsBooks.com. I look at the address bar and it still looks so surreal. I'm a geek and totally flipped out when I hit refresh for the first time.

I'm pretty sure the second chance is rather obvious. I have a new look! I know I just redesigned the blog a few months ago, but the bug hit again in July and I went with it. I tend to be a monochrome type of person. And since I love blue, everything I make usually has a hint of blue in it. For me to go completely out of my comfort zone with this new design was a step in a different direction. I adore my new look and I hope you do too!

Also on tap are a few content changes. I love participating in blog tours. If you've been here for awhile or looked at my archive, you'll see that I've done a lot of them over the years. As much as I love tours, I've noticed that because I did so many, I didn't have a lot of free dates for other types of posts. I wasn't reviewing a lot of non-tour books simply because I didn't have the time or dates to. For the past month or so, I've been more selective on the tours I signed up for and I've never been happier because I have more freedom when scheduling other types of posts. I will still do tours and I look forward to working with new touring companies. However, I will be participating in fewer tours.

That's it! I'm so looking forward to what is horizon for my blog. More giveaways... More discussion posts... And of course, lots more reviews!

Thank you so much for spending the past 4 years with me!!
