Characters finding the person that completes them when they least expect it, yet at the moment when they need it the most. Sometimes they aren't aware that something was missing in their life until it hits them upside the head. Other times, they know what is missing and who is the only person that can fill the void. Rick and Desiree had a feeling that something was amiss. Rick needed someone to help him heal from the death of his father, while Desi needed someone to love her for her. She feels a bit out of place with new surroundings while dealing with a sister that she barely knows and remembering what could have been if her childhood was different. Both needed someone to bridge the gap between a painful past and a bright future with family and new friends. Throw in a dog and a whack-a-do mom, fate has its hands full in this book.
I adored (heh... inside joke) Bayside Desires. I love that we are starting a brand new series with characters that we've met in the past mixed with new characters that I'm sure we'll fall in love with in no time. A perfect combination! What's not to love?
