This summer, romance blooms again in Wildstone!

After a difficult few years, Tilly Adams is ready for life to start going right. Though she has a case of first day nerves teaching art at the local community college, she knows it isn’t anything a few snuggles from her rescue puppy won’t cure. Until she sees Dylan Scott again, her one-time BFF and first love sitting in the front row.

Dylan knows he should’ve left well enough alone, but when he sees Tilly living her dream, he can’t help but make contact. Ten years ago, he left Wildstone and everything in it behind, including Tilly. He had his reasons, but now he wants her back in his life, anyway he can get her.

When Tilly agrees to design the logo for Dylan’s new helicopter touring company, it’s business only…until she finds herself falling into his arms once again. Can she possibly open her heart back up to the only man who’s ever broken it? But soon they’re both realizing the truth — love always deserves a second chance.

Jill Shalvis is back with The Good Luck Sister, a new novella from her Wildstone series. In this one, we've got Tilly Adams and Dylan Scott, both characters we originally meet in the previous book. In Lost and Found Sisters, Tilly gets the shock of a lifetime when a sister she didn't know existed shows up after the death of their mother. Having to grow up pretty quickly, Tilly managed to keep her head above water thanks to her best friend and first love, Dylan. Flash forward a couple years and we learn that not everything was sunshine and daisies after the previous book. And that's where The Good Luck Sister picks up. Tilly, now years older, once again gets the shock of a lifetime by the sudden appearance of Dylan. Forced to relive the painful memories while facing their re-ignited feelings, Dylan and Tilly they stumble along as they get to know each other again.

I was in a really weird reading mood when I picked up The Good Luck Sister. I wanted to read, but didn't have the energy to read for very long. Looking back, I blame the Festival of Books for zapping all my energy. I had been craving novellas so I started reading this one. The Good Luck Sister immediately sucked me in. I love that the novella actually takes place several years after the previous book and I wonder where the next book will fit in the timeline. I also enjoyed the flashbacks. For a novella, Jill was able to include enough flashbacks to give readers plenty of scenes from Dylan and Tilly's youth. I loved how they pieced together what happened back then. I adored the characters. And as always, Jill's writing was fabulous. The Good Luck Sister was a lovely novella that got me excited for the next Wildstone book.
