For a man who makes his living pleasuring women, what happens when the only pay-out worth having is love?

Faith Abigail Charles has always done the right thing. So when her mother runs for mayor of New Orleans, Faith puts her law career on hold to help her win. But when tensions run high, Faith trades one kind of heat for another—in the arms of a hard-bodied stranger. He’s everything a woman dreams of in a lover. So much so that her one-night stand turns into two, then three, then four . . .

For Aiden Rios, meeting smart, sexy Faith feels like fate. After being ditched by his client in the Big Easy, the high-paid male escort needs a little company himself. Aiden knows he’ll have to come clean about his line of work, and he plans to—right after another taste of Faith’s sweetness—and another and another. . . . Until a chance meeting with his client leaves Aiden exposed—and Faith shocked and hurt. Now the hired hottie must show Faith that the love they share is bigger than the scandal threatening to destroy them . . .

Oh hello sexy, angsty goodness. It's been a while since I've devoured an angsty romance and I gotta tell you, it left me wanting more. I heard great things about the first book in Castile's Happy Endings series, so I wanted to give Hired a go and I very much enjoyed it.

Faith and Aiden are polar opposites. Faith has been groomed to be the "perfect" politician's daughter. She can never act out and bring negative press. She must smile and keep the eye-rolling to a minimum. And she can never bring home a man like Aiden. On the flip-side, Aiden is a male escort and stripper. He'll be the first to tell you that while he's no angel, he's never been paid of have sex. However, he does know that he could never deserve a woman like Faith. She's pure where he's tainted. Once together, they realize that they're not so different after all. Both carry wounds from their pasts and share a common hope for the future: to be happy and finally free of the binds that tie them.

I devoured Hired. There was just something about this book that I can't quite put my finger on. I love angsty romances. I love heroes that deem themselves unworthy of the love of a woman they want. Watching them realize that they are better than they think they are always makes my heart soar. I loved Faith wanting to shed her good girl image. They were just fun together. The author's writing was great. Her cast of characters were lovable and well developed. Hired left me wanting to pick up the first book while we wait for the next book, which is what a 2nd book in a series should do. I highly recommend it.
