Melissa Foster is the author that'll never cease to amaze and entertain me. I always fall deeply in love with her characters. Her writing will always keep me coming back for more. The sex scenes, sexual tension, chemistry, pure animalistic lust... It always makes me blush and then re-read when I finish the book. I don't know why I do that. It's just been a habit for years. I'm weird, I know.
Honestly, I wonder how I can keep my reviews for Melissa's books fresh because I feel like I keep saying the same thing over and over again. I love her writing, characters, and just her tone in general. Her books have the perfect mixture of light, comic moments with the darker scenes that make her characters feel so damn real. Not everything with her characters are sunshine and daisies. They have problems. They have skeletons in their closets that they have to defeat if they want any chance at happiness. That moment when they do and you know everything will be okay... That's the moment Melissa is best at. In Caught by Love, Archer's battle with his demons rivals any of Melissa's previous heroes. He's not used to having these feelings for a woman. Settling down was never in his cards. But Indi came along and not only knocked his life off kilter, but she blew down his carefully built exterior until only his soul remained. And when he realizes that she has not only imprinted her soul onto his, she holds his heart within the palm of her hands. It takes a strong woman to go toe-to-toe with Archer and Indi never backs down.
I adored Caught by Love. I laughed, cried, giggled, swooned, mourned, and cheered right along with them. Nothing beats diving headfirst into a Melissa Foster book and not emerge until I'm finished reading it.
