The Mysterious Call is the story of a man who received a mysterious call. Suffering from memory loss, he desperately searched who the caller was, eventually putting together the puzzles of his past.

My Thoughts
Sorry for the pun, but this book was a total mystery to me when I found it last night on Amazon's top 100 free in the romance/mystery section. No reviews. The author is new with one other book (that also came out on the 10th). I love picking up these kinds of books because I never know when they will be a total surprise and I'll love the book.

Andrew and Melissa have history with each other, but something is keeping them apart. This short story is about how Melissa fought her way back into Andrew's life by simply leaving her phone number in books he finds in the library. If this book was on Goodreads, I'd shelf it as "wish it was longer." I would have enjoyed a full book with the story of these two characters. We find out how they meet and we get a little bit of a happy ending, but I'd love more of their back story and some of how their future will be.

Overall, I enjoyed the book as a freebie. You really can't go wrong by picking it up when it is free. It is quick, but even with only three chapters, it is a complete story. One that I enjoyed for 30 minutes.
