After having her heart broken by a country music star, Savannah Braden has sworn off men. She takes a break from her fast-paced Manhattan lifestyle for a weekend at a survivor camp to rebuild her confidence and readjust her priorities. But when she meets the handsome guide, Jack Remington, she’s drawn to everything about him—from his powerful physique to his brooding stare—despite the big chip on his shoulder. Powerless to ignore the heated glances and mounting sexual tension, Savannah begins to reassess her hasty decision.

After losing his wife in a tragic accident, Jack Remington found solace in the mountains of Canada. This solitary existence allows him to wallow in his guilt and punish himself for having made a decision that he believes cost his wife her life. He never expected to want to return to the life he once knew—but then again, he never expected to meet gorgeous, stubborn, and competitive Savannah Braden.

One passionate kiss is all it takes to crack the walls the two have built to protect themselves, and allow love to slip in. While Jack fights his way through his guilt, and struggles to get back into the lives of those he left behind, Savannah is there to help him heal, and together they nurture hope that they’ve finally found their forever loves.

Yes, I am back with another Melissa Foster review. What can I say? I am in love with her books. I adore her characters. I think her writing is fantastic. I have been looking forward to this one in particular for a couple reasons. The first reason - Savannah Braden! We've seen snippets of her in the previous books and being the only sister among five brothers would make anyone a fun character. The second reason - we get to meet the Remington's, the family in Melissa's next Love in Bloom series. And the last reason - we get a strangers to lovers romance. Melissa can write a rockin' friends to lovers romance and I was intrigued about how she would tackle a romance revolving around two characters that haven't met in a previous book. While it wasn't my favorite book in the series, I still absolutely loved Bursting with Love. This one is definitely the most emotional book in the series. Read it with a box of tissues nearby. Jack broke my heart. He suffered a heartbreaking loss of his wife and it tore him apart. Watching him wake up and pull his life back together with the help from Savannah was precious. I want a Savannah in my life. I want someone that'll be there for you, through thick and thin. Someone that'll hold your hand and not say anything just to fill the silence. Someone that you know will always be there just in the slim chance you'll need them. Although, I was kind of hoping she'd knee Connor in the nuts. Sorry, but if she didn't, I would. I loved the introduction of Savannah's best friend, Aida. Loved her! I think she would have an interesting story. And of course, we see more of the Bradens. I wonder what Max's secret was...

Melissa Foster's ability to write a heart warming romance with two of the most real and lovable characters is something to cherish. If you are a lover of contemporary romance, you must pick up this series. All of the 5 books I've read so far were amazing. And I finally get to meet Hugh next! I can't wait...

And yes, I read Bursting with Love in less than a day. Who needs sleep when there is a romance book to be read? *grins*

    1. I'm normally not a speed reader. A book with 300 to 400 pages usually takes me a couple days to read. If I'm really loving a book, I'll refuse to put it down and read big chunks at a time. Especially at night... That is when I read the most. I'll find ways to sneak in a chapter or two each hour during the day. Its bad, I know. :o)
