Last January, I read and loved the anthology Love and Other Games. So when author Aria Kane approached me and asked if I would like to review her newest anthology, One Lucky Night, and have a stop on the blog tour, I jumped at the opportunity. I didn't know there was going to be a new anthology and I squealed in delight. One Lucky Night did not disappoint. I loved that each of the novellas were a mixture of super sweet scenes between each of the characters and sexy scenes between each of the five couples. I hope Aria continues to collaborate for new anthologies and I will be looking for other books from these authors.
Below are my thoughts on each novella. I'll be back later in the month with my tour stop!
Lucky Break by Aria Kane - A second chance romance! After years of being apart, I loved how quickly Derek goes into protection mode as his cares for Andrea. He remembers everything about her. Such a sweet novella!
Lucky Star by Grace Teague - I felt that everything was too rushed. I understood why Charlotte finally decided to tell Tommy how she felt, but I felt Tommy's reaction was rushed. A story with this many powerful and confusing emotions for the characters would have benefited from a longer book. I would have loved it more if the character's feelings towards this new relationship and the implications were fleshed out more.
A New Tune by Ana Blaze - By far my favorite of the five novellas. I love heroes that know what they want and are determined to get it. Cian watching Holly's every move as he sings was hot. Cian writing songs that are about his feelings for her... Yum!
Lexi’s Chance by Constance Phillips - Another adorable story. I loved the relationship between Lexi and Sean. She's scared of him, but he'll move the moon for her.
Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier - I love characters that are not too shy to flirt. And boy, do these two characters flirt. Natural born rivals, Rachel and Killian butt heads until the chemistry takes hold and they can no longer resist.
