I can't tell you how excited I was to finally read Penalope's story. I loved her in Summer is for Lovers and I've been waiting for her book ever since. When it was announced that Her Highland Fling was Pen's novella, I giggled happily and tried to wait as patiently as I could for it to appear on my Kindle. Jennifer, you slay me. I love the witty and hysterical banter that flows between her characters. I love that she's not afraid to write a strong heroine that wants to experience life in a time where it is frowned upon. Jennifer's heroes want the best for their heroine, but are quick to throw their best intentions out the window at a moment's notice. William and Pen were perfection. If I could be a historical romance heroine, I'd want to be Pen. She's smart, funny, and not afraid to venture out on her own. William... Poor William... He had me cracking up the entire time. The man's brain was befuddled and he's clearly in love. *swoon*
Jennifer... Thank you for such a fun little novella. As with every other McQuiston book, I devoured it and went back to re-read a couple passages. If you want something that'll make you laugh on the first page and fall in love on the last, you need to read Jennifer's books.
