Wow... Just, wow... I don't even know where to start... Shelly Bell, you are amazing. There, I said it. I started Red Handed kind of late Saturday night and finished it Sunday afternoon. I loved it! Red Handed is a beautifully sexy romance about two characters that need and protect each other. The way Shelly is able to weave a sizzling, sexy relationship between Danielle and Cole while building a darn good suspense plot is pretty spectacular. We're not talking about two characters that have sex just for the sake of having sex. Shelly took her time building an emotional connection between Danielle and Cole before they consummated their relationship. I'm not saying that they didn't want to jump each other the moment they reconnect. Oh no... That was on their mind from the get-go, but I loved that they learned each other's deepest fears and secrets first. Every sexual act they shared, either with each other or with another character, had a purpose. The connection between Danielle and Cole ran deep. Their desire to support the other rivaled their desire to consume one another. Cole's mission was to not only save Danielle's life, but also to show her how beautiful she is to him. Meanwhile Danielle's was to prove to Cole that he is worthy of love. I loved watching them grow as individuals and as a couple. And not to mention, the suspense kept my attention, especially that plot twist. Phew!
I'm hoping that Red Handed is just the beginning of a very sexy Benediction series. There are two couples that I am rooting for and I am excited to see what happens next.
