Vincent knows the glamorous side of the Mafia, being born a soldier.

Lake lives on the opposite side of the tracks, born the daughter of a soldier.

The light and dark side of him are at constant war, but he is letting his darkness reign.

She is trying to find peace, and she will soon be far enough away to find it.

Discovering that his boss owns her, showed him how little he knew her.

Knowing all about him only makes her want to hate him.

I’m a fu**ing made man.

I’m just fu**ing trailer trash.

Vincent... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways... Since Vincent (both the character and the book) left my brain in a state of utter bliss, this is going to be a bullet point review to share what I loved the most about the book.

  • Characters - Holy cow! Where were these guys when I was in high school? Damn, I was robbed. Vincent... Nero... Amo... Lucca... Can I get a made men sandwich? Vincent's over the top possessiveness was hot. He fights his attraction to Lake for as long as possible, but once it boils over... It is on! In the previous book, I loved Nero's sheer determination to rescue Elle and Chloe. Vincent goes through the same with Lake. We get a little more into Lucca's character, but the one I truly fell in love with this time was Amo. He loves pushing his friend's buttons. He's funny, sarcastic, and freaking hot. I'm hoping his book is next and I have a heroine in mind for him... The girls were just as fantastic. Lake is an incredibly brave woman for putting up with her family and for standing up for her father. The girl has balls. We also get to see "The Girls" of the group. Each have their own personalities that I loved.
  • Romance - Best friend's sibling (or sibling's best friend depending on how you look at it) is one of my favorite tropes in romance. Loved it! Although the lust and attraction between Vincent and Lake is there from the beginning, it is a slow build until it explodes. Perfect!
  • Plot - I loved the plot. The pacing was perfect, not too fast and not too slow. There are two time jumps that I think worked really well in moving the story along without losing a lot of interactions between the characters. I also loved watching Vincent's possessiveness grow towards Lake as each chapter passes. It starts off as what Vincent thinks is brotherly protection and moves towards Lake being his only (and him being her's only).

I devoured Vincent in one day. I loved every moment of the book and I have a feeling that it is going to be one of my top books of 2015. I cannot wait to see what Sarah has in store for her characters. I have my ideas of which characters should end up together and it'll be fun to see if I was right. Thank you, Sarah, for taking me on another wild roller coaster ride with the made men.

Hey! My name is Sarah Brianne and after living for twenty-two years the characters in my head told me enough was enough and I have finally put pen to paper (or is it finger to keyboard?) to tell their stories. Since I was a little girl I have watched every chick flick I could get my hands on, then when I became older I discovered a whole new world of romance novels. To me there is nothing better then a tale of true love and those are the stories that have inspired me to write. Like everything else in my life I have put my own spin on two lovers destined to be together.

Next to my books my prized possession are my two beautiful fur babies, Kalypso and Khaleesi. I know what you’re thinking, do you pack them in your purse? Yep, right next to my kindle.
