2016 Reading Challenges: How Will I Do?

Happy New Year!

So, it is officially January 1st and you know what that means... New challenges!! And this year I promise to keep track of my progress. It is actually one of my goals for the year.

Hosted by Anna over at Herding Cats and Burning Soup, the New to You challenge is one of my absolute favorites and the only challenge that I do really well in. If you would like more information on the challenge, check out the sign-up post.

My Goal: Level 4 (Going for a Swim) @ 50 books

While I did much better keeping track of review copies last year, I still missed a lot. When I saw this challenge on Herding Cats and Burning Soup, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to work on some of those missing reviews. If you would like more information on the challenge, check out the sign-up post.

My Goal: I don't have a set number for this one, but ideally I'd like to
complete at least 15 reviews.

Another one of my favorite challenges. What can I say? I like naughty books and I cannot lie. Another fun challenge from Anna at Herding Cats and Burning Soup. If you would like more information on the challenge, check out the sign-up post.

My Goal: Level 4 (Yeah. I've got some kink!) @ 33 books

One of my biggest pet peeves is starting a series by falling in love with the first (or second) book only to totally forget about it. This happens to me more times than I care to remember. I may have squee'd out loud when I came across this one. Now I'm not totally sure how I am going to go about this one. I may or may not review each of the books I finish, but I do know that I will post a series wrap up for every series I finish specifically for this challenge. I will only count series that I am at least two books behind with. If you would like more information on the challenge, check out the sign-up post.

My Goal: Level 2 (Testing the waters) @ Completing 2 -4 series

While you don't see it a lot on my blog, one of my favorite genres is romantic suspense. And honestly, I don't read it enough. I hope that changes this year, so I'm signing up for Shooting Star's challenge. We're starting off small with this one. If you would like more information on the challenge, check out the sign-up post.

My Goal: Private Eye @ 11–20 romantic suspense novels

And last, but certainly not least, we have the Pick Your Genre challenge hosted by Herding Cats & Burning Soup. I'm going to do this one a bit different because there are two genres that I want to focus on just a bit more this year - paranormal and historical. For some reason, I rarely read books from these two genres. If you would like more information on the challenge, check out the sign-up post.

Historical Goal: Level 1 (Sunbathing) @6 books
Paranormal Goal: Level 2 (Dipping the Toes) @ 12 books

As you can see, I'm a bit ambitious this year. I may add one or two challenges as the year progresses, but these are the ones I want to complete. How about you? Which reading challenges are you working on in 2016?
