Zeke May has spent the past two years recovering from an IED attack and trying to adjust to life as a civilian. The veteran hiring program at denim empire Riley O’Brien & Co. offers a new beginning. The only problem is the high cost of housing in San Francisco, and Margo Lange could be the perfect solution.
Now that Margo has completed veterinary school, she’s ready to fulfill her dream of living in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, she’s drowning in student loan debt and the only places she can afford are dumps. Luckily, one of her uncle’s Army buddies needs a roommate.
Although Zeke’s place is a perfect fit for Margo’s budget, he is not what she expects. He’s much younger than her uncle, and he’s melt-your-panties hot. She doesn’t want to fall for him, but it doesn’t take her long to realize that Zeke is the perfect fit for her, regardless of their age gap. Too bad he’s so obviously still in love with his ex-wife…
Jenna Sutton's The Perfect Fit was a sweet romance between two characters that found each other at just the right time. Wanting to fulfill her dream, Margo finds herself in a new city with a sexy new roommate. A wounded Army Vet, Zeke is left with painful memories and nightmares. As their attraction towards each other grows, they react to it in different ways. Margo wants to pursue her feelings toward Zeke, while he believes that she deserves someone better. While I really enjoyed the time I spent reading this little novella, I wished it was longer I loved the characters and I felt that they had a much bigger story to tell. I wanted to know more about Margo and Zeke, to watch them more as they grew closer. I loved Jenna's writing style. I love how she explored and detailed Zeke's past. I loved how Margo quietly allowed Zeke to come to terms with his feelings without rushing him. Although The Perfect Fit is not the first novella in the Riley O'Brien & Co. series, to me it felt like the perfect introduction to the author's writing. I got a sample of her writing, got to meet a couple of her characters, and as a result, I added the first book to my TBR. Overall, I liked this little novella. It made me giggle at a couple spots and tear up a bit during others. And, of course, it made me want to read more from the author.
