Having a mad crush on her boss’s son, Matt Lacroux—an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy—is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company, and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt’s life is hours away from Mira’s home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for.

With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt’s publishing contract couldn’t have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book, and finally getting his arms around sweet, seductive Mira.

A surprise encounter leads to white-hot passions and midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt’s sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira’s not saving his father’s company so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever?

Confession time... Wow! It's been a long time since I've had one of these. Have I confessed all my book sins? I doubt it! *wink* As difficult as it is for me to keep my Melissa Foster reviews fresh, it is just as hard for me to keep my intros from sounding stale. Something to work on in the new year!

As Seaside Summers comes to an end, I feel the need to not only pick a phrase that sums up Seaside Whispers, but one that can also sum up the series as a whole. True love is worth waiting for... Whether your forever love is someone you just met for the first time or someone you've loved from afar, trust that they will find their way to you when the time is right. That was the story for most of the Seaside couples and that was definitely the case for Mira and Matt. Who knows how their relationship would have played out if they acted on their feelings from the beginning. Yes, it was torture for them to be apart, but it also solidified their bond. That is one of the many things that I love about Melissa's books. There are no outside forces that keep her couples from being together. Once they start dating, they are in it for the long haul. While I do occasionally love a good monkey wrench (mainly for the groveling that inevitably follows), it is refreshing to know that when I get near the end of one of Melissa's romances, there won't be anything stopping her couples from professing their love.

I adored the guys and gals from Seaside Summers and I'm super excited for the new spin-off series next year. Huzzah!
