There is no better way to start a new year of romance than with my first "new to me" author of 2017. And it was another case of cover love at first sight. I knew I had to have this novella in my life the second I saw the cover. The blurb was just the icing on an already adorable cake. Properly Groomed was a hilarious mix of sweet romance with a sizzle of sexiness. I loved the characters, especially Lincoln. In fact, I think I have a new soft spot for heroes named Lincoln. I loved the banter and the chemistry that sparked the relationship between him and Joya. Boone's writing flowed effortlessly. The characters were well developed, especially since it is a novella. Properly Groomed was a fun little romance from an author that I'd like to explore more.
