SHE'S TAKING A WALK ON HIS WILD SIDE

Emma Rush can't remember a time when she didn't have a thing for Ryan Blake. Haven's resident bad boy is just so freakin' hot-with tattoos, a motorcycle, and enough rough-around-the-edges sexiness to melt all her self-control. Now that Emma's over being a "good girl," she needs a little help being naughty . . . and she knows just where to start.

Before Emma's brother enlisted in the military, he made Ryan promise that he would protect her from everything--including himself. When her brother doesn't come home, Ryan needs to turn his screwed-up life around to honor his pledge. But he knows he's still not the right kind of guy for someone as sweet as Emma. Only he can't stop wanting to be with her. Wanting her. Falling in love with a good girl may be the craziest risk this bad boy can take . . .

There is something special about a favorite author that'll lift the dense fog that is a slump. Before picking up Rachel Lacey's Crazy for You, I was sliding into a reading slump. While I could finish a book, it took me over a week to do so. I actually really enjoyed the books I was able to finish, it just took me forever and a day to get through them. When I started celebrating a finished book, the blogging slump reared its ugly head and, well, the joke was on me. To say that I was a little hesitant to start Crazy for You would be an understatement. I adore Rachel's writing and I didn't want the book to fall prey to the reading slump. Thankfully, the opposite happened and I devoured Crazy for You in two nights. Hooray!

I adored Crazy for You. Rachel's characters are so damn lovable. It's inevitable that I add her heroes to my long list of book boyfriends. Ryan was sexy as sin bad boy with an inner good guy. He's unable to resist Emma, despite his promise to her brother. Ryan fought the attraction for as long as he could, but once Emma started to push back, he was a goner. Good girl Emma is a bad girl at heart. It's hidden beneath all her layers, but it is there. I loved these two together. With their friend's support, there is nothing they can't handle. Speaking of friends... Yay for more Carly! Now if only Sam could make an appearance or two. That is another element of Rachel's books that I love - the friendships between her characters. We get to see the sparks start to grow between Mark and Jessica. And I'm hoping that there is someone in Mandy's future. Overall, Crazy for You was another adorable contemporary romance from an author that has firmly settled herself on my favorite authors list.

Rachel Lacey is a contemporary romance author and semi-reformed travel junkie. She's been climbed by a monkey on a mountain in Japan, gone scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef, and camped out overnight in New York City for a chance to be an extra in a movie. These days, the majority of her adventures take place on the pages of the books she writes. She lives in warm and sunny North Carolina with her husband, son, and a variety of rescue pets.
