Just one more case…

After her father’s death, FBI Special Agent Toni Blades promised her fiancĂ© she’d step down as an undercover agent. But that was before the biggest case of her career landed on her desk – a large scale, sex trafficking ring and she’s tasked with finding its leader.

It’s only one last undercover job, what could go wrong?

Las Vegas Detective Leo Castellano made the same promise to Toni and planned to keep his word, as soon as he closed his last missing persons case. But when his case overlaps with hers, it takes a turn neither was prepared for. The future Toni and Leo imagined is suddenly jeopardized and now, neither can walk away.

Will they find the ringleader before it’s too late, or will Toni’s broken promise turn deadly?

I don't know about you, but when I pick up a book from one of my favorite authors I love the feeling of being welcomed back into a world I love. Being automatically enveloped into the arms of familiar characters, setting, and even the author's voice/writing style. Lately I've noticed that as a couple of my favorite authors switch things up, I'm enjoying their new voices. I've fallen for T.J. Kline's books back with her Rodeo series and when she mentioned her new romantic suspense book, I was up for the challenge. I love romantic suspense and I really wanted to see her take on it. I have to say I really enjoyed it. I loved Toni and Leo, both strong characters that I would want in my corner. I loved their relationship and how it was tested as their cases intertwine. Speaking of their cases... Holy cow! And then that ending... T.J. certainly knows how to pack a punch. As her introduction to the genre, she knocked it out of the park. Dangerous Promises kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat from cover to cover. She definitely goes there and nobody is safe, an element you don't find too often in romantic suspense books. I can't wait to see how the Sisterhood series plays out.

T.J. Kline is the author of over fifteen contemporary romance novels.

When she’s not writing and bringing imaginary people to life, she’s busy hiking the foothills of the Gold Country of Northern California looking for inspiration with her high school sweetheart husband, who still makes her heart flutter wildly and plies her with coffee, chocolate and red wine. She also spends her “spare” time begging her three nearly children to spend more time with her. When not doing either of those, she’s busy with her menagerie of pets including dogs, cats and horses, all of which are wildly spoiled and demand constant attention.

  1. As they say a book is a mans best friend but I would say a book is the password to unlock an imaginary world. T.j Kline may not be very famous but presenting 15 successful stories is a big deal and the prerogative is when you keep people hooked to your stories when they crave for your new productions and I am surely interested in the sisterhood series.. hope it reaches beyond my expectations..
