Valentine's Day with Lori Foster

Happy Valentine's Day! Today we're visiting with the lovely Lori Foster. In celebration of Valentine's, Lori is here to chat about her romantic husband and the little things he does for her. Be prepared to swoon. Take it away, Lori!

As a romance writer, you’d think I was the romancy type, right? Sadly, I’m not. I forget important dates (like anniversaries – oops!) and I’d forget Valentine’s Day, too, if my husband didn’t remind me that it’s a great opportunity to gift wonderful readers with a giveaway. You see, he is a romancy kind of person. Not so much for one particular day, but honestly, every day throughout the year.

Like the time he organized all my books for me in my new bookshelves when we moved. I really didn’t want to do it, and kept putting it off, and then – ta da – I walked into my office and it was done! Or the gloomy day in early January when he brought me home blooming hyacinth because he knows I love the scent. And then there’s the way he preps the coffee maker every night and sets the timer so my coffee is ready before I get out of bed... even though he doesn’t drink coffee.

Oh, he does the typical Valentine’s Day stuff too, like bringing me cut flowers and chocolates (who doesn’t love chocolate?) on the celebratory day, and he lets me pick the movie, which is usually horror or action, even though he likes those more emotional movies that I avoid whenever possible.

We’ve been married since 1978, and every year he seems to get more considerate, more caring, and more attentive. The romance has not died – thank goodness.

So I guess in the end, even though I might not be a romancy kind of person, I sure do love a romancy kind of guy. ;-)
