What’s the saying, bad luck comes in threes? If so, Lily Green is due for something good. First, her divorce is finalized—on her birthday, no less. Then the first job she lands for her catering company turns out to be for her ex-husband’s wedding. To top it off, she’s stuck working the event with Luke Everett, the sexy-as-hell best man who’s never been able to stand her. When can a girl catch a break?

For years, Luke has kept his feelings for Lily safely hidden. Hitting on his best friend’s ex-wife would definitely break the cowboy code of honor. But ever since an injury sidelined his rodeo riding, the two of them keep getting thrown together. It’s only a matter of time until his true feelings come to light. When that happens, it will either be the biggest mistake of his life, or a sign that his luck is about to change.

Oh, my gosh. What can I say about Tough Luck Cowboy other than it was amazing. I don't know how A.J. Pine managed to sneak in so many of my favorite romance tropes into one gorgeous cowboy-lovin' package, but she did. And it was quite the package, if you catch my drift. It was enemies-to-lovers, forbidden romance, second chance romance, forced proximity... Yes, please! I was in sexual tension heaven.

Lily Green is having a bad day. You see, it's her birthday. And instead of celebrating, she's finalizing her divorce. The one shining light on a otherwise dismal day is that the opportunity to start her own catering business swoops in. The good news? The bride is a well known food celebrity. The bad news? She's also her ex's new fiance. The worse news? She's now forced to work closely with Luke Everett and although he hates her, Lily can't get him out of her mind. Luke's not too thrilled with the situation either. Lily can never know the truth. Luke doesn't hate her. He's had feelings for her from the moment they met.

Going into Tough Luck Cowboy I had a strong feeling that I was going to love it. I mean, it has most of the troupes I love in a romance. I loved Lily and Luke. I wanted to be Lily's friend. Luke made me fall for him from the very first page. I was cheering them on throughout the entire book. They were perfect for each other.

There are books that you just know you're going to devour. I devoured this book in a day. It was so damn good. It made me laugh, swoon, and everything in between. A.J. Pine, I am in awe of your writing. I cannot wait to read more.

A librarian for teens by day and a romance writer by night, A.J. Pine can’t seem to escape the world of fiction, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. When she finds that twenty-fifth hour in the day, she might indulge in a tiny bit of TV [HL1] to nourish her undying love of vampires, superheroes, and a certain high-functioning sociopath detective. She hails from the far-off galaxy of the Chicago suburbs.
