Hello friends! Welcome to the 2nd Currently Reading post. As you can see, I'm still playing things by ear. I am, however, really enjoying the new weekly wrap-up feature. It still probably wasn't the best time to start it, but it is what it is. Also, I forgot to mention last time that this is sort of a play off of the weekly Sunday Post topic from the lovely Caffeinated Reviewer. Seriously, if you've never been to Kimberly's website you need to soon.
In Real Life
In my last Currently Reading post I mentioned that my Aunt Patricia passed away. My dad flew home to Colorado for her memorial last weekend and spent some much needed time with his family. My mom and I were unable to go, so we said our goodbyes from afar. I also decided to take some time away from the blog and postponed quite a few of my planned posts. My heart wasn't in it and and since I know that the rest of the year is going to be crazy busy, I just needed a short break for myself. To recharge the batteries, if you will.
On the Blog
Since I only had 3 blog posts since my last wrap-up post, I'm going to focus on what's coming up on the blog for November and December. Fair warning... It's going to be a lot of Christmas.
Holiday Pass the Popcorn: It is Hallmark Christmas Movie time! This year I am bringing back my Pass the Popcorn posts to talk about all the Christmas movies I can stand. I am going to try and do these weekly, it's going to depend on how quickly I watch them. The first movie was yesterday, so hopefully that post will be up this Thursday.
Holiday Reviews: Starting November 14th, it is going to be Winter Wonderland here. It's not going to be all Christmas, all the time. There will be some non-Holiday reviews. I also hope to do a couple giveaways for holiday arcs and various other holiday books.
I am so excited for everything November and December has in store. It's probably a good thing I took the short break.
