When it doesn’t stay in Vegas…

When Abby discovers her mystery man is the CEO of a company her boss is determined to take over, she must forget the man as well as that night. Her hope is no one finds out about Vegas because the merger and her job are now on the line. Discovering Mitch at his sister’s wedding is the last thing she expects and even as she tries to keep her distance, she wants him even more. Is it once more just lust or is there wedding magic in the air? And will she lose her heart as well as her career?

I had a bit of a unique experience while I was reading When It Doesn't Stay In Vegas. First of all, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the author's voice and writing style. Any author that can make me laugh out loud and swoon on the same page is worth their weight in gold. I adored the characters, both the main couple and the fantastic group of background characters. That definitely explains why I had the unique experience while reading it. You see, When It Doesn't Stay In Vegas is a standalone book. While I was reading it and meeting all of the background characters, I instantly wished it was the third book in a series. I realize that is awfully specific, but it's true. There are two background couples that I would have enjoyed getting to know more if they had their own books. It doesn't stop there... We also meet two male characters who would have been fun to follow if there were 2 more books in my imaginary 5 book series. One who is a bit too clingy (he can get book 4) and one who is a complete asshat. As much as I wanted to kick the asshat in the balls on multiple occasions throughout the book, I still think it would be fun if he was able redeem himself in the 5th book. See? I told you it was a unique experience.

I love the rush of reading a new to me author. Who knows... This author could become one of your favorites. All signs lead to yes with this one. I adored Amy's characters. They were so damn lovable. Mitch lovingly carrying a crystal heart pendant that means the world to Abby was so fucking swoon-worthy it hurts. Poor Abby put in the middle of what her heart wants and what her brain knows could only lead towards trouble. I loved watching them tap dance around each other as their romance blossoms. The author's writing style was fun and witty. I giggled through most of the book, which is always a good thing. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spend reading When It Doesn't Stay In Vegas. I still wish it was the 3rd book in a 5 book series, but I'm weird like that.
