Can a summer of love make up for a lifetime of secrets?

Wedding fever has taken over Harmony Harbor this summer, and the local matchmakers have set their sights on Theia Lawson, a former navy pilot who’s in town for a stay at Greystone Manor. And while Theia’s got her reasons to put this small town behind her as fast as she can, there’s a certain tall, dark, and irresistible man that she can’t seem to get off her mind.

Firefighter Marco DiRossi wants to beat the matchmakers at their own game so he conspires with Theia to pretend they’ve already fallen in love. It’s only for the summer. What could go wrong? Yet as the beach season draws to a close, Marco and Theia find their pretend relationship has led to very real attraction. But when a secret from the past is revealed, jeopardizing everything they hold dear, can this unlikely couple find their way to a happily-ever-after?

Hello, blog land. Guess what... I'm back! What better way to come back to the land of the living than with a favorite author of mine, Debbie Mason. Whenever I see a new Debbie Mason book it's like coming home to visit your favorite fictional town and how I would love to visit one in IRL. I am in love with Harmony Harbor. The characters and the drama that follows them is always fantastic. Barefoot Beach, however, wasn't my favorite in the series. I love that it introduces a new group of Gallagher cousins, mostly because that means the series isn't going to end anytime soon. There was just something about Theia and Marco's relationship that didn't work for me. I loved everything else about it, but their relationship. And honestly, I've never experienced that with any of her other books. Other than that, it had everything I enjoy about her writing. The family and friends insanity. It still made me giggle in the middle of the night. And of course, it made me want more when I finished it. So all in all, I still call it a win.

Debbie Mason is the bestselling author of the Christmas, Colorado series. Her books have been praised for their “likable characters, clever dialogue and juicy plots” (RT Book Reviews). She also writes historical paranormals as Debbie Mazzuca. Her MacLeod series has received several nominations for best paranormal as well as a Holt Medallion Award of Merit. When she isn’t writing or reading, Debbie enjoys spending time with her very own real-life hero, their four wonderful children, an adorable grandbaby, and a yappy Yorkie named Bella.
