Will Lydia and Ty be able to rekindle their relationship? Or will Lydia’s time in the big city spoil the one true love she’s ever had?

Living on the small island of Nantucket might have been the idea of perfection for some, but Lydia Duncan? She craved the big city life. She left behind her family and the man she knew she would have spent the rest of her life with to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.

At twenty-eight, Lydia is a big-shot lawyer, but when her father dies, she’s left with no choice but to go back to the one place she ran away from—home.

Ty Rue watched Lydia walk away but never forgot her. Over the past ten years his love for her has only gotten stronger. Now that she’s home, he’ll do anything he can to make her realize what it’s like to be an island girl and to be in love. Two things that she once did so well.

Will Lydia and Ty be able to rekindle their relationship? Or will Lydia’s time in the big city spoil the one true love she’s ever had?
Oh boy. I was not prepared for the emotional ride How Sweet It Is took me on. It is a second chance, small town romance between Lydia and Ty, two characters that fell in love as teenagers. After high school, Lydia needed to spread her wings. She moved to Boston to become a successful lawyer. Ty, on the other hand, wanted nothing more than to stay in Nantucket, start his own candy store, and start a family with Lydia. Years later, life brings them back together after the death of Lydia's father. Its as if years had not passed. They are immediately drawn together and its not long until they fall in love all over again.

Going into How Sweet It Is, I knew it was going to be an emotional romance, but I was not prepared for just how hard it would latch on to my heart and refuse to let going until I knew Ty and Lydia were going to be okay. There was something so sweet watching them grow closer as they mourn together. Ty never pushes Lydia to face their past and make a decision that'll allow them to be together. Instead, he gently helps her mourn and prove to her that they were meant to be together, that her life in Boston will never make her happy like Nantucket does. And it doesn't take long for her to realize that he's right. Their journey together was amazing. The supporting characters were just was wonderful, especially Lydia's best friend. I loved her sass. This was my first book from Gen Ryan and I know it will not be my last. Hopefully the wait for the next book in the series isn't too long.

You can find Genevieve curled up reading paranormal romance and romantic thrillers or frantically typing her stories on her laptop.

Forensic Psychology is her trade by day, teaching and molding the minds of college students. Her interest in psychology can be seen in her books, each including many psychological undertones. Although she loves teaching, her passion, her true love, lies in the stories that roam around in her head. Yes, they all come from her mind-the good, the bad, and the totally insane.

She lives in Massachusetts-no, not Boston. With each story she shares, she hopes her love for writing and storytelling seeps through, encompassing the reader and leaving them wanting more.
