Is it a book or a series?

While on Amazon a couple nights ago (never a good thing, btw), I came across two new Kindle serials and I had a lightbulb moment. Idea! For the next six weeks, I'm going to be reading along with the books: Midnight Train to Paris by Juliette Sobanet and Kicking the Habit by Kari Lee Townsend. As each new episode is released, I'm going to read it and write a short blog post each week.

Want to play along? I've posted the Amazon links and synopsis to both books below. Posts for Midnight Train to Paris will be on each Thursday and posts for Kicking the Habit will be on each Friday. I will try my best to keep each blog post as spoiler free as possible. I hope to see you here on Thursday!

Midnight Train to Paris
Author: Juliette Sobanet
Started: April 30, 2013

When hard-hitting DC reporter Jillian Chambord learns that her twin sister, Isla, has been abducted from a luxury train traveling through the Alps, not even the threat of losing her coveted position at The Washington Daily can stop her from hopping on the next flight to France. Never mind the fact that Samuel Kelly—the sexy former CIA agent who Jillian has sworn off forever—has been assigned as the lead investigator in the case.
When Jillian and Samuel arrive in the Alps, they soon learn that their midnight train isn’t leading them to Isla, but has taken them back in time to 1937, to a night when another young woman was abducted from the same Orient Express train. Given a chance to save both women, Jillian and Samuel are unprepared for what they discover on the train that night, for the sparks that fly between them . . . and for what they’ll have to do to keep each other alive.
Midnight Train to Paris is a magical and suspenseful exploration of just how far we will go to save the ones we love.

Cece Monroe—the former Sister Mary Cecilia—is an ex-nun who finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation…and possibly the killer’s next victim.
After mistakenly hearing a senator’s incriminating confession just moments before he is murdered, Cece refuses to spill the details of his secret to authorities, even though she is the closest thing to a witness they have. According to Cece, “What happens in the confessional stays in the confessional,” but the Feds want answers. Army Ranger turned police detective Ace Jackson isn’t thrilled when he’s assigned to nun-sit while the investigation unfolds, ordered to keep his disconcertingly attractive charge safe at all costs.
That turns out to be easier said than done when Sister Mary Sleuth drags Ace through a series of misadventures and crazy encounters as she attempts to solve the case herself, despite a ruthless assassin who keeps popping up to take potshots at her.
