Cynthia Sax... You rock my Kindle. Flashes of Me was fan-freaking-tastic. I normally have a love/hate relationship with novellas. I had a love/love relationship with this one. I loved the characters. Poor Kat has had a rough go. Her dad's illness and death shook her so badly, she really did not know which way was up. Then on her first day of work, she's slammed with an attraction to Henley that take her breath away. I had a difficult time watching her almost throw herself at Henley at the beginning. I felt that she was coming on a little too strong. To know where Kat is coming from is to love her. She knows that life is short. She knows what she wants and, damn it, she's going to get him. By the end of the novella, I loved her. When she's finally able to piece her heart back together, Kat turns out to be a strong individual and I admired that about her. With Henley, I freaking loved him from the first page. I loved watching Kat bring out the softer side of him. She makes him smile. She makes him laugh. I loved that. To make it even better, we also get to see how Blaine and Anna are doing since we last saw them in the The Seen trilogy. So sweet...

One of the reasons why I am loving Cynthia's books is the fact that she makes her characters wait to have sex. Rather than jumping into bed (or the nearest flat surface) at the first chance they get, her characters take time to get to know each other's bodies. She takes foreplay to a whole different level of hotness. Yum! More please...
