A young college woman gets schooled in life, sex, and love in New York Times bestselling author Sophie Jordan’s sizzling New Adult romance series—where three Ivy League suite-mates testing their boundaries as they seek higher knowledge of just how far they can go.
A born flirt and good-time party girl, Emerson has never had a problem finding a willing guy. She’s always chosen her hook-ups carefully, and she's never broken her three cardinal rules:
Never let them see the real you.
Never fall in love.
Always leave them begging for more.
Then comes Shaw. A hotty from the wrong side of the tracks, he’s immune to her flirtatious banter and come-hither smile. After rescuing her from a disastrous night at a biker bar, he doesn’t even try to take her to bed—he calls her a tease and sends her home instead. Unable to resist a challenge, or forget the sexy dark-eyed bad-boy biker, she vows to bring him to his knees.
But instead of making Shaw beg, she finds herself craving him. For the first time in her life, she’s throwing out her rulebook. Suddenly, she’s the one panting for a guy she can’t control. A guy who won’t settle for anything less than the real Emerson, who forces her to do things she’s never imagined, including facing a past she thought she'd buried.
There are two sides to Emerson. She wants everyone to think she's got it all together. She's a talented painter. She's a loyal friend. And she can land just about any available guy. They think she's a tease, but she's only protecting her heart. After being abandoned by her so-called friends, she finds herself face to face with the one guy that is determined enough to find the real Emerson. Shaw doesn't give up easy. Emerson keeps pushing him away, but he keeps coming to her rescue. The more time the spend in each other's company (and in each other's arms), Shaw manages to make Emerson break her three rules... Shaw sees the real Emerson... Both of them start to fall for each other... And both of them are left begging for more...
I had a revelation after reading Tease... I seriously need to read more new adult books. Why has nobody told me this before? I will confess that I have yet to read Foreplay (bad Crystal!), but I could not wait to dive into this book. I started it one night and finished it the following day. I couldn't put it down. I adored Shaw and Emerson. Shaw's sheer determination to break though Emerson's shield was hot. Not going to lie... As much as it ticked her off, Shaw always felt the need to come to Emerson's rescue. Emerson, on the other hand, broke my heart. I knew there was a reason behind the walls and once she revealed her story, I fell a little bit in love with her too. I loved the characters and how they interacted with each other. The closeness between all of the girls was something I wish I had in college. I loved how they surrounded each other with love when someone needed it. I'm so glad that Georgia is next. I think I know who Georgia will end up with, but I will be waiting on pins and needles for the next book in the Ivy Chronicles.
...in the meantime, I need to read Foreplay!
