Cowboys always seem to have the most spectacular butts, probably from all that hard riding in the saddle. But Melody Spencer had long-ago wiped the dust of Cupid, Texas off her cute shoes…and done her best to forget the chiseled jaw, strong arms and those other assets of cowboy Luke Nielson. Their families might be part of a long-time feud, but he was her very first love even if it turned out they never wanted the same things.

But now Luke’s come striding back into her life, tempting her with the memories of long, lazy evenings and hot, passionate kisses. And he has an ulterior motive-as Mayor of Cupid, he knows Melody’s business savvy can help save their beloved hometown. His smooth-talking might get her to Texas, but that doesn’t mean he’ll get her in his bed. Still, people do say love can be more perfect the second time around…

Welcome back to Cupid, Texas. Things are not going so well here. The drought is drying up crops and driving away tourists. Without tourists, the local businesses start to suffer. Luke Nielson is at a loss of what to do. As Mayor, the town is his responsibility. As a local rancher, he is also suffering along with everyone else.  Melody Spencer left Cupid years ago after her teenage heart was broken. She moved to New York and became a successful advertising executive. She's got a great job and a fabulous boyfriend. Well, until she gets fired and dumped...in the same afternoon. Things could only get better from here... Right?

Love with a Perfect Cowboy was so very sweet and, at times, sexy. I loved Luke and Melody's relationship. They are very much Romeo and Juliet. Luke's family hates Melody's and her's despises his just as much. That does not stop the sparks from flying between these two. They had a childhood romance that was torn apart and neither one of them really recovered from the fall out. Props to Luke for coming up with the brilliant plan to bring Melody back to Cupid. The moment they are together again, the sparks fly and they can't keep their eyes off each other. I loved how supportive Luke was when Melody lost her job and how persuasive he was to win her over. Melody is someone I would want to be friends with. She's strong, smart, and incredibly kind. I smiled when they run into each other in New York. I swooned as they began to fall in love again. And I applauded them for finally standing up to their families. That took courage and strong love for each other.

I love Lori Wilde's books. They are all so much fun to read. Picking up Love with a Perfect Cowboy, it felt as if I was being welcomed back into a world I've come to love. The citizens of Cupid, Texas welcomed me back with open arms. Luke and Melody introduced themselves as if we would become close friends. And I got to catch up with old friends from previous books. I was smiling the entire time I read this book. Loved it!
