From the moment they see each other after six long months apart, it doesn't take long for their chemistry to reignite. To know Tori Archer is to love her. Why? Well, let's just say that I wanted to slap some sense into the girl for better part of the book. The more I got to know her as a character and the more she opened up about her relationship with Alex, the more I started to love her. She is very abrasive in the book, but with good reason. I loved Sean from the second he appeared in the book. He's loving and wants to make his marriage with Tori work so much so that he's willing to put up with a lot. Sean is the firm pillar that Tori needed to work through her guilt and sadness from Alex's death. Watching them grow closer together to help each other heal was magical.
Although I somehow missed the second book in the Ribbon Ridge series, I am savoring the time I spend with Darcy's fabulous world. Her characters are marvelous. Even in the times when I wanted to smack some sense into Tori, I was still in awe of her strength and love for her family. When Love Happens had a mixture of sweet and tender moments, as well as some seriously hot sexy time. Sean and the headboard... Yum! Sheer perfection... Now as we wait for the next book in the Ribbon Ridge series, I'll bide my time with other Darcy's other works.
