The Ultimate Used Books Haul #1 - What happens when you shop with another romance lover...

Have you ever done something that seemed like a good idea at the time, but when all was said and done, you realize that you might have gone a wee bit overboard?

A couple weeks ago, my friend Ezrah @ Eye Heart Romance & YA and I had planned a fun-filled day of lunch and used book shopping. A local library was having their semi-monthly book sale and the plan was to go there plus visiting 2 other used book stores.

A good idea in theory...

It wasn't until we divided up our haul and planned to make buddy posts that I finally saw the damage.

The good news? We actually didn't spend a lot and we both brought home lots of books.

The not-so good news? We brought home a lot of books and now have to find shelf space for said books. Most of mine are going directly into the "read and release" pile.

Be sure to check out Ezrah's haul over at her blog Eye Heart Romance & YA. She got a great mix of genres!

Without further ado...

The Ultimate Used Books Haul #1
What happens when you shop with another romance lover...

Yeah... I'm so in trouble! My grand total was ... drum roll ... 39 books! Not going to lie, it does kind of bug me that I didn't get that one extra book for an even 40. I think I'll toss in the Jill Shalvis book Ezrah gave me. That totally counts, right?

Most of the books I got today were from the library book sale. Between the 2 of us, we filled a paper bag to the brim for $2. How freaking awesome is that? I even got a small handful of books at the library's book store. The majority of these books are going into the "read and release" pile and there are lots of old favorites like Jennifer Crusie, Linda Howard, Lisa Jackson, Lori Wilde, and Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

If that wasn't enough, we also went to 2 used book stores. I was super excited to find a Nora Roberts I didn't have and it completed a series! I haven't mentioned it here, but I've been slowly collecting the NR trade paperbacks (both new and reprints). I have so many that's it is difficult to find ones I don't. I did find some at the library, but finding Heart of the Sea made me giddy. I also found a Shayla Black, Lorelei James, and a Shelley Shepard Grey book that I can't wait to read.

So... That's my haul 'o used book goodness. I hope to have most of these books read before we meet up again in March... At least the Harlequin and Mira books. Those should be pretty quick. Thanks for following along!

And I promise I'll take better pics next time. Hopefully of a smaller haul. Fingers crossed...
