Last Month on the Blog - January 2019

Hello friends! Welcome to the first monthly/weekly/daily... To be honest, I'm not quite sure what I'm going to call these posts and how often I'm going to do them. So, we're going to start off with my normal Last Month on the Blog for January 2019. I'm still settling into things around here, so we'll see how things go. I do hope to have a bi-monthly update system this month.

January has been a wee bit crazy around here. My birthday was on the 14th. It was very low-key, but fun nonetheless. Went on a shopping trip with my mom and bought more yarn than I probably should. The weekend before that, I treated myself to a book signing at The Ripped Bodice. I mean, who can say no to Sierra Simone? So, I picked up Sinner, the 2nd book in her sexy Priest series. Haven't read it yet, but it will happen soon. Other than that, we're just settling into the new year. I'm about to do my 1st book purge of the year. I want to try to do at least 2 purges a year to keep my bookshelves fresh. Which also means I need to start reading my freaking print books more often. Clean shelves and reading print books? Double score!

I feel like I'm going to say this a lot in this post, but here it goes... Not many reviews in January since I'm still settling in and getting over the huge slump that plagued me at the end of last year. I'm starting to get back in the swing of things, so thank you for being patient with me. Here are the reviews I posted in January.

Again, not a whole lot of non-review blog posts in January. I do have on discussion-ish type post and a small handful of spotlights.

This section is pretty much going to be the same. Books I finished in January and December whose reviews should be coming in February.

Three Little Words by Jenny Holiday
The Way You Love Me by Miranda Liasson
The Viscount Can Wait by Marie Tremayne

I'm trying something a bit different this year with my challenge updates. Borrowing the idea from Ezrah at I Heart Romance, I'm going to use icons for my updates. Every couple of months I'll do a more in-depth update.

How was your January? What books did you read? Send me recommendations.

  1. Looks like you had a great January. Good luck on purging your shelves. That was really hard for me to do when I had my print bookshelves. I didn't want to get rid of anything!

I hope February brings with it some fabulous books for you to read. Have a great week, Crystal!
