Last Month on the Blog - February 2019

Hello friends! Happy March! How are things in your neck of the woods? It's been wet here in California. Whole lotta wet... We just had a week or so of sunny skies and now we're looking forward to rain again this week. Give me a book, a blanket, and a coffee... I'm good to go.

February was a quite an interesting month here. I'm a bit superstitious and I was afraid to jinx things by sharing some news on my kitty Snowball. I noticed she wasn't acting quite like herself at the end of January. Took her to the vet and sure enough, she had an upper respiratory infection. It was interesting that the day I took her to the vet was when her symptoms really started showing up. Got her on antibiotics and spent the following week watching her be miserable. She finally broke through the following Wednesday and started eating (I took her to the vet on the 31st of January). After a bit of a relapse, she's on the mend and is back to her mischievous ways. Then a couple weeks ago, my dad decided to drop a wrench on his hand. So yeah, February can bite me. Here's hoping to a quiet March.

I am trying my best to get back into the swing of things. February looked promising once Snowball started to feel better, but that went downhill fast. This sucks balls! I have a lot of discussion ideas and I'm planning to spend the next week working on them. Until then, thank you for being patient. I will be back to full speed this month. Come hell or high water, it will happen. In other fun blog news, I'm having a great time going back and reading some of the older books on my review list. I hope to do a blog post on how I let Netgalley pick from my oldest review books and include a TBR. That will be coming shortly.

The Way You Love Me by Miranda Liasson
The Viscount Can Wait by Marie Tremayne
Deceptions and Desires by Melinda Di Lorenzo
Battle of the Bulge by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff
Devil's Daughter by Lisa Kleypas

I hope your February was quieter than mine. Here's hoping March plays nice. What books are on your TBR this month? How was you doing with your challenges? Comment below and let's chat!
