August 2016 Monthly Rewind

Hello there and welcome to my August Rewind!

Can you believe it is September already? Where has the time gone? A lot of fun things happened in August. If you want to read about the goings on that happened on my blog, please visit my Blog Birthday post. So excited for the changes! For the second month, I'll be chatting about the reviews I posted in August and do a quick overview of books I'm looking forward to in September.

Without further ado, here are the 12 reviews I posted in August...

"While I do think it was a little too busy, I did still enjoy Meant to Be Mine. I look forward to see how the series progresses, especially with Joss. She's going to be a fun one to watch."

"I could not put Last Kiss of Summer down. In fact, I totally devoured it in one day. Happily, I might add. I didn't even look to see who gets their HEA in the next book so I can delay the surprise. That wait, though... I'll have to pick her Marina's older books to keep me company."

"I was actually reading parts of this book during the Olympics so picturing Ethan in a Team USA swimsuit put a big grin on my face. Run to You was so much fun to read. Now the long wait begins for Ryan and Emma's book..."

"When Hayson approached me to review her new book, Bound to the Bounty Hunter, I jumped at the opportunity. She did not disappoint. The chemistry and sexual tension between Sophie and Harlan was fan-freaking-tastic."

"I loved Hero of Mine enough to devour it in one night. It had Codi's fun and flirty writing with just a small hint of suspense, which I felt made the ending more emotional. I'm glad to see Codi is spreading her wings a bit. Fun addition to a series that I'm already loving."

"I had a bit of a difficult time picking a word for Chased by Love, but by the end of the book, the word I came up with was sultry. There were two scenes in particular that inspired my pick (as well as a few daydreams)."

"At first glance, I wanted Brother's Keeper to be longer. I loved Nik and Alexa! I wanted to spend more time with them. But as I finished the sexy little novella, it ended up being the perfect length. The sexual tension was like no other. Like a voyeur, I didn't want to look away."

"Initiation had me hooked from the very first page. Logan and Jennifer... Where do I start? Their chemistry and sexual tension scorched from the moment they laid eyes on each other."

"I loved that A Fine Mess still had the fun and lighthearted moments while also taking me on an emotional journey. I loved that Kelly's characters aren't perfect, but that helps the reader relate to them more."

"I actually read My Perfect Mistake back when it first came out in April. What drew me to the book was the excerpt that was in the release blast I posted. It had me laughing while I was working on that blog post. Right away I knew I had to read it and I'm so glad that snagged my attention."

"I loved Rock with You. The characters were sweet and lovable. I hope we get to see more of them in future books, mostly because I want to see Sam as he grows to love small town life. Rock with You was a fun way to spend a hour with great characters living out a fantasy."

"To Have and to Hold was another fantastic Lauren Layne book. Even though there were moments when I wanted to throttled Brooke, I loved the characters. I loved meeting the other three Belles and I can't wait to get to know them better."

Here is just a sample of new releases that I'm looking forward to in September. I really have to start taking better notes for these posts.

Hard to Hold (Hard to Play #1) by Katie Rose
Locked and Loaded by Mandy Baxter
The Protector by Jodi Ellen Malpas
